Whether you are a college or an NBA basketball fan there are more than enough basketball conferences to choose from! The NCAA basketball conferences may be one of the most popular in the college division. The National College Athletic Association puts together the largest college basketball conference and attracts millions of fans every year.

The 54th annual ACC basketball conference was held in March 2007 in Tampa Florida. North Carolina took the win at this well established college tournament. Another great tournament that was held this past winter includes the Southern Conference basketball tournament. The Southern Conference Men's basketball tournament championship game of this tournament involved Charleston and Davidson, Davidson taking the win with a 72-65 concluding score. This particular conference was held in North Charleston, North Carolina. Southern conference basketball is one of the most watched and attended basketball conferences of all the college association. The Mountain West Conference basketball tournament is another that takes place in March. It is the youngest of all the college association tournaments but is rapidly growing in popularity.

MVC is one of the oldest divisions in the College Association, founded in 1907. They are considered to be one of the best mid-major conferences in the country. Big Sky conference basketball is an intercollegiate college athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA division. The BSC was founded in 1963 and has worked its way to the top from the beginning. The BSC not only includes basketball but football tournaments as well, engaging many different types of sports fans to their conferences.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference for women's basketball is also growing in popularity. As women's basketball becomes more and more popular and watched so does the CCC. Another conference that participates in the NCAA division is the Sec basketball conference. This conference operates out of the South-eastern USA and is one of the most successful both on the court and in their financial status as well making them a competitive contender both on and off the court.

Sun Belt conference basketball association began in Tampa Florida but has since then moved to New Orleans. This conference sponsors football teams as well but was originally a basketball only conference.
