Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks basketball team plays in the Eastern Conference under the Central Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Milwaukee Bucks joined the NBA during the 1968-69 basketball season along with the Phoenix Suns. The Bucks are the second professional basketball team to have called Milwaukee home. The first, the Milwaukee Hawks, left Milwaukee in 1955.

The present Milwaukee Bucks logo shows a dark green buck head above the Bucks name in red, white and dark green. A red triangle with a downward point makes a background behind the buck. A silver outline surrounds the entire logo. This logo is similar to a previous one, but has the original Milwaukee Bucks team colors. A former logo shows a yellow buck sitting on the team name. The buck wears a green jersey as it spins a yellow basketball.

Larry Krystkowiak, who is the Milwaukee Bucks coach, used to be a professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls. U. S. Senator Herb Kohl owns the franchise. Charlie Bell of the Milwaukee Bucks joined the team in 2005. The 2006-07 Milwaukee Bucks basketball season roster includes players Charlie Bell of Michigan State, Brian Skinner of Baylor, Ruben Patterson of Cincinnati, and Earl Boykins of Eastern Michigan. Rookies include Lynn Greer, Ersan Llyasova, Damir Markota, and David Noel.

After he sprained his left foot in March 2007, Andrew Bogut, Milwaukee Bucks Center Forward, had to be taken out for the season.

The Milwaukee Bucks won one NBA Championship in 1971. They also won two Conference titles and thirteen Division titles. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor), played for them in 1968.
